Today was a good day, I’ll recap.
I woke up at 6:00 am for my workout, and promptly passed out again (too much damn minecraft the night before). Usually when this happens I wake up too late to catch the workout or just before the workout starts, but today I woke up 10 mins later feelin refreshed and ready. I scarfed down some toast with cheese and hopped in the car with my roller skis (imagine short skis with wheels). Had a fantastic 3 hour workout and topped it off by jumping in a lake with the people I worked out with. I drove home and after a shower I went to work. After a short detour to a bakery where I grabbed a cookie and muffin to fuel the next 8 hours of labor I arrived at the butcher shop where I am gainfully employed. Work was dope. I didn’t have to wash dishes at all, and I legitimately liked the people there that day. After work I stepped outside into the afternoon heat wave (90’s) and thought to myself “Hmmm, I should jump in a lake again.” So I did with my friend Josh. It was awesome watching the sunset in a fashion oddly similar to the symbol of the former Japanese Empire. Now I’m sitting at home, ready for tomorrow.
I’m glad today happened, and I don’t want to make this blog/diary/thing a source of never ending optimism that’s likely just a mask for a sad existence but I feel like good days shouldn’t be based on the big things that so rarely happens, but the little ones. Like not having to wash dishes today. Also, watch the musical ordinary days, still the only musical to make me cry, and it totally deserved it. It talked about a similar thing.
On another note, this online diary thing is weird as hell, should I pretend to talk to people? Obviously nobody’s reading this, but I still have an urge to do so for some batshit crazy reason. Oh well, Imma go pass out in my bed, peace.
Why did I start this blog? I couldn’t tell ya. Maybe it’s something therapeutic to do, to fill my time and make me feel like I’m doing something useful when in actuality im writing an online diary of sorts. Now that I think about it, online diaries are weird af. I feel like the point of a diary is for it to be a private place for someone to express their feelings and rant about some nonsensical bullshit, not something for all the world to see. So basically I don’t know why the hell I’m doing this, oh well.
Starting off the first post…my mind has turned to porridge. What’s a good starting topic? Work maybe? Nordic Training? Food? Eh, who gives a shit. Food it is. I had an idea today at work for a beautiful sandwich. Take a nice roll, add lettuce, onions, grilled chicken breast (nicely charred over charcoal), and smother that motherfucker in homemade buffalo blue cheese aioli. I got this idea at work because I tasted said aioli and my mind was blown at how good and versatile it was. Aiolis are fuckin dope when they are made right and you can make soooo many variants of any aioli. Getting back on topic, I think I’ll make it in a few days. Will post pictures if I can figure out how.
Well, being the first post of this blog I have run out of topics, mostly because I need to go to bed (play minecraft with friends). Nobody will read this, but if you do, catch you on the flip side baybee.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
